Description

A creamy and flavorful mashed potato dish with garlic and rosemary.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 900 g (2 lb) potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) butter
  • 120 ml (½ cup) milk or cream (warm)
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • optional grated Parmesan or olive oil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with salted water.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook for 15–20 minutes, until fork-tender.
  3. Drain potatoes well and return them to the pot.
  4. Add butter, garlic, and rosemary to the hot potatoes.
  5. Mash until smooth, gradually adding warm milk or cream.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with Parmesan or a drizzle of olive oil if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider using cream instead of milk.
