Ingredients

  • 12 oz uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste salt & pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add ground beef, and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a greased baking dish, layer half the spaghetti, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan. Bake for another 15 minutes until bubbly.

  • This dish can be prepared a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
