Description

Delicious chocolate treats with a festive peppermint twist, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers or cookies
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Tray: Line a muffin tin with festive cupcake liners.
  2. Crush Peppermint Candies: Place peppermint candies in a sealed plastic bag and crush them using a rolling pin until finely ground.
  3. Prepare Graham Cracker Mix: In a small bowl, mix crushed graham crackers (or cookies) with melted butter until well combined. Spoon about a tablespoon of the mixture into each liner, pressing down to form a base.
  4. Melt the Chocolate: Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth and fully melted.
  5. Assemble the Treats: Pour a tablespoon of melted chocolate over the graham cracker base in each muffin liner. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies evenly over the top. Add a few chopped nuts if desired. Decorate with festive sprinkles.
  6. Chill: Place the muffin tin in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until the chocolate has set completely.

Notes

  • For an extra minty kick, you can add a drop of peppermint extract to the melted chocolate.
  • Use a double boiler method to melt the chocolate if you prefer not to use a microwave.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
