Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 912 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Lasagna Noodles: Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare Creamy Sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in flour and cook for about a minute. Gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Sauté Mushrooms: In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender.
  5. Assemble Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of the creamy sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Layer 3-4 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the shredded chicken over the noodles, followed by half of the mushrooms. Pour one-third of the creamy sauce over the chicken and mushrooms. Sprinkle one-third of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top. Repeat the layering process, finishing with a final layer of noodles, remaining sauce, and cheeses.
  6. Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish: Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for added flavor and color.
