Description

A delicious creamy garlic shrimp dish served over fluffy rice, perfect for a quick meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rice by rinsing it under cold water until clear.
  2. Boil 2 cups of water in a pot, add the rice and a pinch of salt, then cover and simmer for about 18 minutes.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly.
  4. Sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the shrimp to the skillet; season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  6. Reduce heat to low, pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice, stirring gently until combined.
  7. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and add it to the skillet, mixing well until coated in the creamy sauce.
