- 1 loaf of French bread
- 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup of pepperoni slices
- 1/2 cup of marinara sauce
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Bread:
- Carefully slice the top of the French bread loaf lengthwise, creating a pocket. Be sure not to cut all the way through.
- Remove some of the bread from the inside, creating space for the fillings.
- Stuff the Bread:
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce inside the bread.
- Layer the pepperoni slices inside the loaf.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Season the Bread:
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the mixture over the top of the bread loaf.
- Bake:
- Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish:
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top (optional).
- Serve:
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
- Serve with additional marinara sauce for dipping.
