Description

Delicious Cheesy Stuffed Pizza Bread Roll filled with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and marinara sauce, perfect for a snack or party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of French bread
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup of pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup of marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Bread:
    • Carefully slice the top of the French bread loaf lengthwise, creating a pocket. Be sure not to cut all the way through.
    • Remove some of the bread from the inside, creating space for the fillings.
  3. Stuff the Bread:
    • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce inside the bread.
    • Layer the pepperoni slices inside the loaf.
    • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  4. Season the Bread:
    • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    • Brush the mixture over the top of the bread loaf.
  5. Bake:
    • Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish:
    • Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top (optional).
  7. Serve:
    • Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
    • Serve with additional marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes before baking.
  • Experiment with different cheeses like cheddar or provolone for varying flavors.
  • Ensure the bread is well-sealed with the butter mixture; this helps in locking in the flavors and prevents dryness.
