Cheddar Biscuits

Description

Delicious cheddar biscuits perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup cold salted butter (cut into cubes)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450° F.
  2. Pour the dry ingredients in a food processor, then add the cold butter and pulse until the butter is chopped into small pieces.
  3. Then pour in the milk and pulse to combine.
  4. Finally, add the shredded cheddar and pulse to combine.
  5. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Use a 3 tablespoon scoop to place even portions of biscuit batter onto the baking sheets, two inches apart.
  7. Bake for approximately 10 minutes until golden.
  8. Meanwhile, whisk the melted butter and parsley together for the biscuit tops.
  9. Once the biscuits come out of the oven, brush the butter over the tops and serve warm.

Notes

  • Best served warm for optimal taste.
  • Can be frozen after baking and reheated as needed.
