Description

This delicious chocolate chip cookie cake is perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 package Yellow Cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup Multi-Colored Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spray a 9-inch round cake pan with a non-stick baking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter, cake mix, and eggs until just combined.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Press the cookie dough batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are just starting to turn slightly golden brown. Be careful not to overcook.
  7. Let the cake cool completely before adding the frosting.
  8. Beat the softened butter with a hand-held mixer until smooth.
  9. Slowly add in the powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
  10. Add in the vanilla extract and slowly add in the milk until creamy.
  11. Pipe the frosting with a star tip onto the edges of the cookie cake and top with the sprinkles.
  12. Then the cake is ready to slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  • It’s better to undercook the cookie dough than to overbake it, as the cake will continue to cook as it cools.
