Description

Delicious Cheesy Beef Macaroni Pasta Dish that combines ground beef, elbow macaroni, and cheddar cheese for a family favorite meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil water in a large pot, adding a pinch of salt. Add macaroni and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Cook until browned.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Stir in diced tomatoes (with juices) and tomato paste. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Add cooked macaroni to the beef mixture, stirring well.
  4. Add Cheese: Reduce heat and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Stir until the cheese melts and blends with the mixture.
  5. Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of chili flakes with the spices.
  • Substitute cheddar with mozzarella or a mix of cheeses for a different flavor.
  • Add more vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for added nutrition.
  • This dish can be baked with extra cheese on top for a crispy finish.
